VIW Project is an Example of Best Practice!

The VIW Project has been evaluated by the Spanish National Agency SEPIE as: Very Good!

Moreover, the project has been considered an example of Good Practice due to its good results. The effort of the VIW consortium has been positively evaluated, together with the project deliverables.

Exhibition "Seville is also Science"

It is a privilege to share with all the people who participate directly or indirectly in the Erasmus + Voices of Immigrant Women Project (2020-1-ES01-KA203-082364), co-financed by the European Union, that the results of the project are part of the exhibition "Seville is also Science".
This exhibition has been organized by the Seville City Council, in coordination with the universities of Seville, Pablo de Olavide, Loyola and the International University of Andalusia (UNIA), the Cartuja Science and Technology Park (PCT), the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Joint Research Centre.

From November 16 to December 10, 2022, the professor and researcher Teresa Terrón Caro, coordinator of the VIW project, is one of the researchers who are part of the 29 images on showcase on “Avenida de la Constitución” in Seville and that show part of the scientific activity that takes place in the city of Seville.

Each image includes a QR and NFC code that will lead to a section of the Seville City Council website where you can consult the development of the line of research, as well as a summary of the academic career and an explanatory video.

Final Meeting of the VIW project

The final partners' meeting of the VIW project took place in Seville at UPO's permises, on 23 September 2022. The main topics discussed were:
• Presentation of the final version of the 3 Intellectual Outputs of the project
• Description of the Multiplier Events organized by partners
• Analysis of the financial forms and modules to fill in for the final report
• Planning of the last Project Management activities

II Seminar on Human Rights, Migration and Gender. A transnational look -

The Pablo de Olavide University, within the framework of the "Voices of Immigrant Women" project, held the "II Seminar on Human Rights, Migration and Gender. A transnational approach" on June 1 and 2 2022.

The participants are mainly:
- Academic experts related to the study of international migration processes and gender.
- Key agents working on migration issues, human rights and with a gender perspective.
- Doctoral students in the field of Social Sciences or any member of the university community who is interested in the topic of the seminar.

In this meeting, an analysis of the current situation of migration has been carried out, as well as the approach to Human Rights throughout the process. For this, the gender perspective has been presented in a transversal way, favoring a space for debate that serves to improve and contribute to the matter.

Fourth Partners' Meeting

The fourth partners' meeting of the VIW project took place in Athens at EPLO's permises, on 26 - 27 May 2022. The main topics discussed were:
• Presentation of the final version of the Map of Case Studies
• Presentation of all modules of the e-Learning Package in English
• Presentation of the current situation of the production of the Policy Recommendations
• Planning of the multiplier events and the final meeting in Spain in September

IO2 Glossary of terms

Project partners developed the Glossary of Terms, to be included into the IO2 E-Learning Package.

Each HEI was asked to collect the definitions of most relevant terms included in their modules.

E-Learning Package Modules

VIW partners created a draft version of the first three chapters for the assigned Modules:

- Instituto Politecnico de Braganca was in charge for Modules 1 and 8
- University of Florence was responsible for Modules 6 and 7
- IRD was in charge for Modules 2 and 4
- EPLO was responsible for Modules 3 and 5

Third Partners' Meeting

The third partners' meeting of the VIW project took place online on 20 January 2022. The main topics discussed were:
• Presentation of the transnational analysis related to the Map of Case Studies
• Presentation of the first three chapters of all modules of the e-Learning Package
• Presentation of the templates for the production of the Policy Recommendations
• Analysis of the Assessment of the Progress Report by the Spanish National Agency

Participation in the monograph of the Journal of Pedagogical Issues

All the VIW project partners have confirmed their participation in the monograph on “Migrations, gender and integration. An international approach”, within the framework of the theme of the VIW project.
It will be published in the journal Cuestiones Pedagógicas of the University of Seville and the monograph is coordinated by Professor Giovanna Campani (University of Florence) and by Professor Maria Teresa Terron Caro (University of Seville).

I Seminar on Human Rights, Migration and Gender. A transnational approach

The Pablo de Olavide University, within the framework of the "Voices of Immigrant Women" project, held the "I Seminar on Human Rights, Migration and Gender. A transnational approach" on September 21 and 22. The assistance has been in Hybrid mode, allowing face-to-face or online participation. It has been a very enriching meeting in which representatives of the different agents involved in the matter have participated: the third sector, the academy, the public administration and the protagonists themselves, migrant women.

Second Meeting of the VIW project

The second meeting was held online on 17-18 June 2021. Maria Teresa Carron Caro and Lorenzo Martellini conducted the meeting and all partners contributed with the presentation of the activities carried out regarding the IO1: Mapping of Case Studies on Integration of Migrant Women.
The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to make a detailed planning of the project future activities and to organize the project's work mainly with regard to the IO2: E-Learning Package.

IO1 - Map of Case Studies

The project partners of the project are working on the development of the Intellectual Output 1: Map of Case Studies through the creation of an interactive Map with 60 success stories on integration of immigrant women.

VIW project - Kick off meeting

The Kick-off meeting was held on 23 - 24 November 2020. Maria TeresaTerron Caro and Lorenzo Martellini presented the project and the activities to be carried out to the partners. The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to get to know each other and to discuss all details related to the project's activities. At the end of the meeting all the partners had a clear view of the future project's implementation, the financial rules and the next activity which is the identification of creation of Success Stories of migrant women that will be integrated in an interactive Map.
